Lately I've been having storage problems on my 64 GB 6S. It's been getting low lately I don't know what the main cause is. I've deleted over 800 photos from my phone and some heavy games and still can't get enough space. When I plug the phone over itunes on my desktop it says I have over 24 GB left . Can someone help me with this problem? Does all of this equal 47 GBS being used up? it's my first thread on this site so please go Easy On Me
EDIT: I just got 17 GBs available as soon I plugged in my phone into itunes and now on the desktop it says 31 GB available. What's the issue?
EDIT 2: I just finshed syncing my phone and Now i have 20 GBs available what's the cause of it all?

First, have you deleted the photos from the deleted folder in your camera roll? Deleted photos aren't automatically removed from your phone, and need to be deleted again for you to reclaim the storage space.

Can you also provide a screenshot of the iTunes data usage graph? My guess is that there might be some apps holding on to cache data which isn't being reflected on your phone.

If a reboot doesn't help, you might need to be prepared to restore your phone and see if that gets you your space back.

@henry6s

A few more things you can consider trying.

1) Go to Safari in settings and delete all website data and caches.

2) Sign out of iTunes, restart iPhone, sign in again. This helps solves issues where streaming iTunes content causes the file to be cached on your device.

Else, restoring your device might be the last resort, but unless you find the root of the issue, the problem may eventually come back.

Diagnostic files can use many GBs of data if you don't sync with iTunes regularly. iTunes removes them from the device.

I did step 2 hat you listed and it helped out . I have 34 GBs available now . Thank you and Merry Christmas

Diagnostic files were part of my problem too (though to a worse extent for a reason I can't discuss). iCloud and Apple Music contribute to the problem also. Any streaming services will.

I have a 6s and can confirm that iTunes and the device show two different values for Available storage.
