I had an iPhone 6. Upgraded to a 6s plus yesterday. I don't think I like it. For a 5.5" screen it's massive and heavy IMO. My wife wanted me to stick with iPhone as she has a 6s and 6s plus and we have Mac computers but I was playing with a friend's note 5 and it's pretty legit. Bigger screen, smaller, and lighter.

So since I have 14 days to exchange I think I might get a Note 5. How can I transfer my contacts and pictures to android since I'm backed up on iCloud?

Download the Google photos app and it will back up all your photos and videos to Google which you'll then be able to access on the Note 5.

As for contacts, go into your icloud account on a computer and export all your contacts. Then open up a Gmail account and import those contacts. When you then log in with your note, all the contacts will be synced.

Hope this helps.

Was just about to recommend this. If your going to use Android - move things over to Google's services now and make future transitions regardless of platform simple.

What about the s7 edge? The curved screen seemed like a gimmick but I keep reading about how good it is. Plus it's a lot smaller and lighter then the 6s plus.

Fernandez21 has some good advice.....
To sync your music from itunes to any Android phone download iSyncr from the Android Playstore. Install it on your phone and your Mac. It will sync any music or playlists you have in itunes to your android phone.

I also like Dropbox and it works very well. Install it on your phone and the client software on all of your Macs. It can save all of your photos and videos straight to the Dropbox cloud. Then you can access them from any of your Macs as well

think it's a great option. Depends money wise how much you want to spend. Note 5 is a year older so least with the edge its the latest phone out

I don't care about the money. The 6s plus is awesome minus the weight and unnecessary bezels imo. I like iOS and will probably end up keeping it since there's so much I do like about it. Just sometimes a little unwieldy where I think a slightly smaller, lighter, and better balanced phone can make a big difference in the user experience.

Get the edge. Improved hardware, software, camera, battery life... Come to think of it, improved everything, heh.

I get that

I'm likely getting the S7 edge as a 2nd phone to go with my 6S plus

Best of both worlds.

Maybe get the 6s instead?

Its why i bought an SE for when i want a small handset. I enjoy my phablets and had sooooo many of them over last few years, but there are certainly times a smaller handset works and feels so much better. Still keeping my 6s plus and S7e, but after 10 days with my SE i'm fully converted to having a smaller device too and it does imho feel better making calls on it. I'm also making less typing mistakes on it than my S7e.

What's your daily driver these days? Do you just swap your sims to different phones daily?

I have two sims. One is my main bill pay number (Vodafone) and for last 10 days it's been inside my SE

The other sim is a pre-pay sim that gets unlimited data on Three and that is currently inside my S7e.

The Three sim gets swapped around more than my Vodafone one simply for continuity of my work, but then at times, I get fits of very rapid changes between devices and both sims.

The SE being small does make it an easier accompaniment to a phablet (indeed it disappears in my jog pants that I have to double check its there as I am so used to a phablet pushing into my thigh) rather than carrying two phablets.

Guessing phones these days you can move sims from different carriers as don't all phones now stay unlocked?

I'm tempted to get a pay as you go Sim in my S7 edge

If unlocked from factory they are unlocked period and once officially unlocked from carrier they too remain unlocked regardless of sim / network.

There are instances where a device locks to first sim, but that's not common and usually because they were intended for carriers in the first instance.

But yeah, you should be able like I have currently to put any sim (as in my case too PAYG) into the S7e.

I make very few calls or texts with my second sim, for me it's all about data and 3 give me unlimited 4g (well fair usage applies at 15gb) which is great in a second device :). It's actually more data than I get on my billpay plan with Vodafone that costs twice as much ....

I'm already with three on my 6s plus so may get a three pay as you go. EE seems to give you 2GB of data for £10 top up
