hey.

I can't tap a notification to go to the app. I have to force touch. Then ignore the message typing and just tap it again.

Is this right?

Thanks!

I'm having the same issue and trying to figure out if this is a bug or if it's how it's supposed to be... (hopefully not).

If a notification comes, I can go to the app by sliding them in lock screen/tapping on the notification pop-up if I am using the device when the notification comes. But, I can't go to the app by tapping on notifications in notification center, nothing happens. I can 3D touch on them to interact with it, but nothing happens if I tap on them.

I restored the ipsw file, and did set up the device with 'the new iPhone' option, I didn't restored any backup.

My device is iPhone 6s.

On the other hand, my iPhone 5, iPhone 5s and iPad Air have not any problems with notifications. Is it related to iPhone 6s?

Note that, it is not related to any application, I can't go to any app by tapping on notification in notification center.

UPDATE: reported bug is marked as 'Duplicate(Open)', it means Apple is aware of the issue and currently working on to fix.

Probably it will be included in iOS 10.0.2 release which I think will be released September 20th alongside with iOS 10.1 Beta 1 and macOS Sierra release.

I'm having a similar issue, but it depends on the app. I have the 3D touch a calendar notification to open the notification, then tap again to open the app.

A NY Times notification opens up the relevant story in their app with just a tap, as did an Amazon one as well.

As the last post indicates, this is a bug (with system-only apps?) which will hopefully get fixed soon.

It is not only a bug with system-only apps, I can't go to app by tapping on a WhatsApp notification :(

I did a bit more testing and it appears totally random. A single tap on a voicemail notification opens up the Phone app.
