Now knowing 7.1b3 is the last of our current JB options, I'm curious of the consensus where most of us will settle and the reason why.

Will you play it safe and standardize on 7.04 JB.
A bit buggy, but all JB tweaks appear to work with.

Roll back to 7.1 beta 2, we have until Monday 27Jan14 to do so.
Bit smoother, but problematic for a lot of 5s with it's boot loop issues.

Or simply take our chances on B3
UI tweaks and clean up, yet less compatible with quite a few of our mods and tweaks.

I'm personally on 7.1b3, nicer UI, less compatibility and dealing with boot loops on 5s, really considering a return to 7.1b2, same boot loops, but broader range or compatibility, hell, may even settle on the God forsaken 7.04!

Thoughts?

Same here.

What I miss the most from the Beta is the elimination of the annoying "Trust this computer?" message that pops up whenever I plug into my car to charge the phone.

Many say it is faster, but is that truly the case, or is it faster because of a clean install? I will wait and see. Must... Resist...

What fixes beta 3 is the rotation animation and many of the animations are smoother.

But if dev's do not support beta's then it's back to 7.0.4.

Totally agree, animations are like night and day on beta 3, nonetheless, what's the purpose of the JB if devs are not developing for 7.1. I've just wiped clean and returned to 7.04 myself.

All of those new and recently released tweaks work just fine on the betas tho. at least the ones ive tried.

ill keep b3 i think

B3 for me too.

Afaik the main negatives are no iconsupport dependency compatibility, flaky touchid tweak compatibility , and lack of compatibility with lightning to hdmi adapter.

yea definietly staying on beta 3 here.. havent really ran into any tweak that doesnt work..especially since i got the work around for infinidock working

I was going to make a whole new thread for this, but figured this'll do...

Is there any way to prevent the beta 3 from expiring? I think someone achieved this with beta 2...

yes! u just have to change IOS 7.1 to 7.0.4 in the version plist

Hey bushido i did that when b3 first came out but biolockdown was not working at all. Can you confirm an update for the tweak has resolved the issue? Thanks.

Those of you staying on beta 3, do you have a problem with a portion of iMessages not sending? I would think that would be a huge deal.

Natively I find iOS 7.1b3 to be much better than 7.04. It has significant performance improvement on older devices like my iPad 3, but For newer devices the performance improvements are less visible.

I found the JB evasi0n 1.04 to be very unstable on 7.1b3. On my first try, most apps (native or JB) failed to launch. On a clean build cydia installed, but rendered the device unusable after the first set of cydia core updated were applied (no tweaks were yet applied). Obviously these libraries are in constant flux, so YMMV.

It is few and far in between. Nothing that would cause me to update to beta 4 where it fixes that issue.

Changing the plist didn't do it. You can download and install but the app itself will not recognize any prints and crash.

Does anyone know how to enable/fix InfiniDock on 7.1 b3?

Download Iclleaner pro(after you have installed infinidock you'll probably be in safe mode at this point) tap the little plus symbol when you open it. Go to mobile substrate ad ons. Then take off icon support. Then apply it restoring and it should work.

I tried all of them, returned to 7.0.4 because in the end it has much more compatibility with jb tweaks.

Things that didn't work for me on beta 3- spectral, iconoclasm (occasionally worked), audio recorder, display recorder, haptic pro, blurred music app and a few others.

Will work flawlessly if you go into iCleaner Pro; tap the lower left "+" sign and under, 'MobileSubstrate Addons' turn off IconSupport.

This was mentioned to be a very bad idea on the jailbreak reddit by a fairly well-known Dev, if someone wants to dig up the link for the lazy be my guest.
