I'm aware of apps like SemiRestore and iLex Rat, which have yet to be updated for iOS 7, and not sure if they will support 7.1x, So I'm curious to know if there's a way to bring 7.1 as close as possible to it's newly installed state, without losing our jailbreak with iFlie.

I'm know removing Cydia Substrate will remove most of the installed tweaks, but looking for an option that will remove and scrub the saved settings and remaining file remnants of the removed tweaks and apps.

I used ilex rat yesterday which works on 7.1b3 spoofed to 7.04 . I had an issue with safari crashing after i installed a tweak and after removing the tweak it still kept crashing randomly so I said screw it and gave ilex rat a shot and it worked.

It wiped the system to a factory state and left jailbreak but it removed Cydia so at that point I ran evasion 1.04 which I originally used to jailbreak ,it will warn you not to run it again since your jailbroken but all it's going to do is reinstall cydia for you so you can get back up and running. It will also put that one time evasion icon on your second page that is part of the jailbreak process just delete it and unplug your device and everything will be good to go. Cydia is back.

My device is performing like new again with 0 crashes so it fixed my issues and other then that one bump of having to re jailbreak it all worked out great in the end without having to lose my JB.

I picked the restore process on ilex rat and used the app from cydia. I did not have to use command lines etc.

Thanks for sharing. Wonder why iLex RAT would delete Cydia. May just be an overlook in their behalf.

Although you were also able to jailbreak once again, wonder if there are any underlined ramifications for jailbreaking again that we may not be aware of.

I have installed all my old tweaks and the iPad is working like it would have had I just done a jailbreak so I am going to have to say no on any underlying issues.

As far as cydia being removed it could be because it's a beta we are using or it could be a bug in ilex rat that might not happen to everyone.

I remember when I was going back and forth between betas and stock OS that cydia disappeared after a reboot and I had to jailbreak all over again because I could not figure out a way to restore it and if you Google Cydia app disappeared I found quite a few people with that problem and there solution was to re jailbreak.

But since I can't wipe my OS this time because it's a beta no longer being signed I said screw it let me just run Evasion over again and see what happens and you know the rest of the story.
