What I am going to do is probably check every 4-6 hours, starting the night before. If the line gets too long (1-2 dozen people), I will probably just join them.

Yes I don't think you should need to get there that early. (again, as berkleeboy210 said) It depends on your location greatly.

I'd check around then...if your bored, check the night before.

Are you going to a store in a city? If so I'd get the night before.

Yea I'm going to be checking in every few hours. I actually have to go down to the Apple store the morning of to have my Macbook power cord replaced so I'll check the line there (since its in an indoors mall and it'll be 100F outside) and then check the line at my cingular store on the way to and from. If the line is more than 20 people I'll start waiting in line then (noonish), otherwise I'll come back at 2:30 or 3.

i doubt the apple stores will start a line by then.

i plan on leaving and waiting around noon at the earliest. 4 at the latest.

i think this really depends upon where you live, but if the line gets too long i might just end up ordering it online

honestly unless you are in NYC there is no need to be there at 7am. don't kill yourself dude, you should have fun getting this new toy. if you are concerned or would really just like to be very close to the front, 9-9:30 am will serve you just fine.

Why do you say that?? I live in NYC and plan on going at 9-11AM. Maybe later if there is no action at the store. THe 5th ave Apple store is another story though:apple: :apple: :apple:

If I decide to buy the iPhone, I won't hit my AT&T store till around 5PM. If the line is too long I may take my chances a couple of weeks later.

I need/want a new phone, but the lack of GPS is making me think twice about the iPhone. As much as I travel for pleasure, the iPhone may be great in order to travel light. I can get the Sprint Mogul for $500. But the iPhone is so darn cute....

I LIVE IN MIAMI SO IM F**KED! im camping out 4 days in advanced.. lol jk... ill check midnite and if not next mornin at 7
