I thought about asking this in text but it'll be easier with screencaps.

If I right click on my Home folder in Finder as in the first pic, it says that the Home folder uses 66,82, roughly 67 GB in total.

But if I highlight all the maps in the Home folder and right click and choose show info it says that they're only 59,9 GB in total size. Where do the extra 7 gigabytes come from?

Your ~/Library folder that's hidden.
Download and use OmniDiskSweeper it will provide an exhaustive list of folders/files and the space they consume
