7300 GT and Mac Pro 2010 ?

I know that.
But the thing is, I had a 5870 I no longer have.
I recieved a 570 GTX that is currently not working under OS X.
And I thought buying a cheaper NVidia card that works under OS X,
as I am going to use the 570 under Windows for gaming.
So, I've seen the GT 120 is working, but it can no longer be purchased, and on eBay it's way over priced !
I've seen a couple 7300 GT really affordable and was wondering if it would work in my 2010 Mac Pro.
if anyone had it to work (or not) with a 2010 Mac Pro, thanks for telling me

The Nvidia 7300GT is a very weak card, and I would not go for one in your case. See if you can find a used ATI 3870 card. This one might be slightly more, but it would be a way better card. Another option would be the original ATI 2600 - weaker then the 3870 but less money and still better then the 7300GT

Thanks for your answers, but I need a weak card, as I don't have any extra free PCIE power connector (the 570 needs two of those).
So the 3870 is not an option.
I prefer to go with an Nvidia card, to avoid mixing different manufacturers.
So, if nobody can tell me the 7300GT works in my mac pro 2010 (which was my only question), I will have to go for a GT120...

might not work since 7300gt probably is 32bit efi.
just as the 8800gt 32-bit efi version doesnt work in 64-bit macpro's.
I can verify that the 7300gt will not work in a 2008 model, because of EFI issues (I tested one when I wanted more screens a bit back, and again when my 8800s died), so I see no reason why it *would* work in a newer model
Best price/perf weak (non flashed) card you could pick up would be a GT120
The 7300GT won't work in 2008 and newer Mac Pros because of the 32/64 bit EFI changes. There were even 2 different versions of the 8800 card for Mac Pros, and they're not interchangeable.
