768MB RAM vs. 1GB RAM in 17-inch 1.9GHz iMac?

I am wondering how much RAM you would reccommend in a 17-inch 1.9GHz iMac? The person using it will be doing a little Dreamweaver work, Microsoft Office work (mainly Word), and web browsing. I am going to give them this RAM for Christmas. What amount would be best for these tasks? I know more RAM is better, but would 768MB RAM be good?

I'd go for the 1GB. There's only 1 slot so take as much as you can afford. If you chose the 768MB and decided to go for more, I think the 256MB would not have kept its value as well as a 512MB when it comes to selling it.

DDR2 is really cheap...go for the 1GB
