Not really interested, to be honest. 11" Tablet is too large for my liking. I like the Nexus 7 and iPad mini size best.

I hear at Google I/O next month, Asus will be releasing a brand new updated Nexus 7, higher resolution, 2GB RAM, faster processor, and running the latest Android OS, all for $199 or so. I'll buy that for sure.

Cool. Good to see new Tech being used. But isn't the Exynos Octa only running one quad core CPU at a time?

Yes. And it switches between the two quad core CPUs. It will never run all 8 cores at once. So really it is just a more efficient quad core CPU. Calling it an octo-core can be deceptive because it makes people think it uses all 8 cores at once.

Yes, it is. That's why it ticks me off when people say eight cores is unncessary. It is technically a dual-quad-core CPU with 4 A15 and 4A7 cores. Only one of the four are active at once. This is supposed to help conserve battery life.

EDIT: Damn you, appledes7!

:D

Well now he just has more confirmation :)

Just what I was thinking! Thanks guys. I'm most interested in the Nexus 7 and iPad Mini updates. Desktop, 15" laptop, little tablet and smartphone. Think I'll soon have all bases and sizes covered! :D
