8 core Octo Fan noise

So can anyone with a new 8 core comment on the fan noise? I would like to know a comparison between the Quad 2.66ghz and the 8-core 3ghz fan noise. Keep in mind of the video cards fan.

My 2.66ghz Quad with 7300gt is super quiet. Can barely hear it. Wondering how the Octo represents.
