Hi all,

I have recently been suffering from dismal 4G speeds. On a good day I got 1-2mbps download, and on a bad day it was almost unusable. I know it is not my local area as I have had the same poor speeds in Liverpool and London as well, where I know everyone else gets blazing fast speeds (my friend was stood right next to me on the same network and got 35mbps down and 30 up). I have tried a new SIM to no avail, and I have even moved from O2 now to EE, and have still seen no improvement. I have tried my SIM in an old S7 that was lying around and it worked flawlessly on that. I have tried a network reset and a soft reset but am reluctant to wipe my phone and start again just yet. At times my WiFi connectivity and speeds can be pretty poor as well. Using an 8 Plus bought in December. Any thoughts from anyone? :) Many Thanks in Advance.

Can you try another device on the same network at the same location..maybe a family member or a friend?

Radio issues aren't that common but it's certainly possible.

Hi there, thanks for your help.

Ended up taking it to Apple, they ran diagnostics and the Bluetooth showed up as being faulty (not sure why as it worked perfectly, it was the WiFi and cellular I had problems with) so they replaced it free of charge. New phone restored everything and working flawlessly now.
