iPhone X 8 Plus vs. Xs Max Screen

I’ve currently got an 8Plus and I’m wondering how the Xs Max’s screen will compare in actual usage. The diagonal measurement for the Xs Max is higher, of course but it’s got a different aspect ratio, curves and a notch. How will an un-zoomed 16:9 video on the Xs max compare? Will it still play at true 1080p, and and what will be the diagonal size?

well no one has one so there's that. I'd check youtube videos from people who are there and handling the phones for comparison.

Yes, I realize that nobody has their hands in one yet, but I wondered if anyone had done or seen the calculations. I’d be loathe to lose full HD video when upgrading to a supposedly-bigger phone.
