Hey Everyone,

I have a 80 GB Video Ipod that is about 2 years old and about a month ago it started producing a "static" noise like a radio that isn't on a station when you play music/videos/etc. This happens both through the head phones and through my ipod dock on my alarm clock. I tried resetting it, different headphones, plugged into the computer, etc and nothing works. Just static that fades from time to time. I think it may be fried which would be unfortunate, but thought it's worth a shot on here.

Has this happened to anyone? Is a defect? Is this a normal issue with this model? Will Apple fix this? I don't believe it's under warranty anymore either.

Thanks for any help!

I also tried plugging it into my computer and it does play clearly through this. So I don't know what that means haha, but progress I suppose.
