800x480 screen resolution on 4G

According the leaked prototype unit they say the new 4g phone has higher resolution which you can assume to be 800x480.

How do you feel about a resolution increase? 800x480 is what almost all new smartphones have compared to the old 480x320.

thats what they speculated but I've never seen a phone with that res. I think 800x480 is probably the correct resolution

Someone has to be the first don't they? It's 2x the current res, which makes more sense to me than 800x480.

I bet the naysayers who thought 480x320 was all you needed will jizz their pants when the higher resolution model is officially announced

Isn't it exactly 2x the old res?
Seems better that number so it'll support old apps also.
I could see the constant whining on how x app looks bad and is unusable now.

Well, we know almost for sure that it wont be 800x480 because its another aspect ratio. They will stay with 3:2 display for backward compatibility. 960x640 is most probable variant...
