Silly question, could there be a POSSIBILITY, even the slightest that the current macs that have the draft 802.11n cards will not work with the final version later this year or next?

Would it be possible to change the wireless cards then? on mbp, imac

Yes, there's a slight possibility, but not likely. In order to upgrade you'd probably have to get an Express slot card or a USB adapter.

Not likely, as Intel's upcoming (name sounding like some dragon) wireless chipset will be based on pretty much the exact same draft standard, if the final standard deviates that far away from the current draft that would mean it'd break compatibility with the vast majority of the market.

The old Airport Extreme was based on the draft 802.11g standard too, yet it works just fine. I wouldn't worry too much.
