I have read alot that the Imac 24" has the 802.11n card intalled. I need to know if I go ahead with the 1.99 software upgrade if it would be faster for the internet and files etc. My router is a G+ belkin now. Thanks MC

Not if your router's only an 802.11g one. You need a capable 802.11n router to output the faster network traffic.

Nope

Having an 802.11n card will have no affect on your internet speed. Most internet connections are no faster than 802.11b technology, anyway. The only increase you will see is when you transfer files from computer to computer on the same local network (it will be LOTS faster, though).

Nope, you'll need one of these. That will work for file transfers. Your internet doesn't get any faster simply because your wireless network is faster. The internet is only as fast as your internet provider allows it to be.
