iPod 80GB iPod Classic - Random restarts

Well, I can't really say random. My iPod Classic restarts quite often when starting to play movies, and it happened once when I was exiting Sonic.

Does anyone have any clues, I don't want to go the Genius Bar unless I have to... I have researched and have heard that this might be due to a corrupted file or because of a mono file being played with EQ. Now two questions, how do I check for corrupted files, and how can I find mono files.

The problem started when I turned EQ on in iTunes, so that seems like a good place to start.
