I have an 80gb ipod video that sad mac's at startup. I tried the hard-drive in another ipod and it did the same thing. I recently bought another 80gb hard-drive on ebay and when I plugged it into the 80gb ipod it still sad mac-ed. I tried that same exact hard-drive in a 30gb ipod video and my 120 gb ipod classic and it didn't work in any of them. When I plugged it into the 30gb video I got the screen saying connect the ipod to itunes to restore but everytime I tried to restore it would say "ipod busy"

I'm starting to think that maybe it's the motherboard that doesn't work in the 80gb video, but i'm afraid to spend more money and have the ipod not work. Do you think I bought a bad hard-drive or is the motherboard not reading any hard-drive?
