80mm fans inside the Mac Pro

I ended up with an extra Noctua NF-R8 80mm fan that I'm not using anywhere, and I wondered if anyone has bothered to swap out any of the fans inside a 2009/2010 Mac Pro. How many 80mm fans are in there, and which would make the most sense to replace, if so?

IIRC, the MP uses analog controlled fans whereas most computer fans are PWM. I assume your Noctua is PWM and won't work at anything but top speed in the MP.

Nevermind. This thread made me change my mind.

Guess I'll just hang onto this nice fan until I find a good use for it!
