Find the driver you want. Download it, double click the file and it will unpack the contents (note, it will not install it). Download the modded .inf file. Save it in the folder where you unpacked the contents. Replace the file. Click the setup.exe in the unpacked contents folder. This will start installation. Just follow the instructions. If it asks you to continue, even though the drivers aren't WHQL certified, click yes. Then it will ask you to restart, and you will.
You're right, laptops aren't suitable for overclocking. What does that have to do with the drivers though? Using desktop drivers won't touch the clock speed. And the drivers aren't really hacked. They edit a .inf file that is used to determine if the driver can be installed with that video card.
Also, the 167.xx drivers are laptop drivers, the 169.xx drivers are desktop. laptopvideo2go offers both.
