Apologies if this has been answered somewhere else, but I browsed around the web and couldnt see anything.

I know the new iMac 24" comes with an 8800 GS. What i dont know is the specifications of that card, is it really an 8800? is it the Mobile GS or the desktop GS? ect..

Has there been any blogs posting pics of the insides and such?

I'm quite interested because the thing that held me back getting an iMac for years has been the Graphics Options. It was an all in one machine but didnt pack the punch graphically for my needs. Boot Camp means you can boot into Windows and play some games, but the previous options would not give you that great of an experience (not one you would expect anyway). Seems it might have changed now so im interested in the details.

Many thanks!

It's an Geforce 8800M GTS.

It has 64 Stream Processor Units.

For comparison the BTO Geforce 8800 GT for the Mac Pro has 112 Stream Processor Units but bear in mind that the Geforce 8800M GTS is a mobile chip.

That's great news! Best i could hope for actually. Good stuff, thanks.
