I cuurently run a 2010 tower, with a 5870 as my display card & a 8800GT (EFI64 version) as a CUDA card.

Lately, I've been using my old 2006 tower for some stuff, and have the following question:

If my '06 tower has a Radeon 5770 as a boot/display card, can I use my 8800GT as a CUDA card in this machine? I wasn't sure if OSX in my '06 tower would even recognize the EFI64-based 8800GT.

I know I could swap stuff out and find out, but I thought I'd ask here first before doing that..

If it would not work, can I flash the 8800GT card to change it to a EFI32 version?

Thanks in advance.

1. No, it won't be detected
2. Yes, without probems, but you need to do it in 2010 one. Search the forum for proper ROM -> there's an old thread which contains link to this ROM.

IMHO it's always the best solution to answer the questions like no.1 ;)
