I'm looking to buy the 2017 Macbook Pro which will be used mainly for browsing and editing with Final Cut Pro. I've chosen the highest i7 and am no conflicted on whether going for more ram, less storage or the opposite.

I'd like to somewhat futureproof it and keep it for up to four years. Going for RAM seems viable to me as video editing requiring a steady amount of ram makes sense to me. I do have a cloud storage system at home and external hard drives/ USB flash drives made for adding storage (by Samsung). Also, I can't upgrade the ram after purchase so...

Although, if I'm wrong, I'll happily get the more storage and less ram option. I'm really not sure though if the 8GB ram option is enough for 1080p editing (rarely maybe 4K) and four years lifespan at least.

Thanks :)
