Hi, i have the ''old'' MBP 15'' model with i7 2.66 and 330M, i was considering the upgrade to the new MBP with Quad but is a bit expensive (here in Mexico i would have to sell my MBP plus pay 700-800 dollars for the new one), also i will move to Germany for studies in 2 months aprox. and the savings will be more useful for that than the new MBP (in anycase probably i will have to upgrade to a new one after ending Studienkolleg/High School for university).

Im happy with my model but sometimes in Starcraft 2 when there are a lot of units my performance decreases to 15-20 fps (with too much units, for giving you and idea when i play 4v4 all the whole team attacks at the same time with everything), also i saw my RAM usage with istat and i had 13MB free of RAM  (i have 4GB).

Upgrading to 8GB RAM would be an improvement for my performance? I was considering an SSD but they are a bit expensive (at least in Mexico they cost 600 dollars for an 256GB, but i need min. 500GB so i will survive with my 5200RPM a bit more). Anybody had saw improvements with 8GB in their MBP and SC2? Thanks

P.S: I play in OSX, honestly installing Bootcamp only for playing is something that i dont consider, im happy in OSX playing SC2 but i only have this issue with too much units
