Sorry if this was discussed before, I did a quick search and didn't see any posts on it.

I've been attempting to downgrade my firmware on my iphone 5 to 9.1 in order to jail break my device. To do this I first modified my host file to avoid error 3194.(shown below)

Then I shift-clicked update in itunes on my PC and selected the 9.1 firmware. However I still get the 3194 error message when it attempts to rollback the update.

I've been on several websites where people claim that its possible or impossible and I'm left confused and unsure what to do.

Can 9.3.2 be rolled back to 9.1 in order to be jail broken? Is there any method to roll back updates that apple no longer signs? Am I just going to have to wait for 9.3.2 to be jail broken?

Thanks in advance for all the helpful replies!
EDIT: yes, my itunes is up to date.

You have to wait. Even if you have a device that can downgrade, you have to be jailbroken first.

Editing the hosts file hasn't worked in years because Apple changed their methods.
