I received my new, sealed in box Apple Pencil. Does not seem to take a charge & doesn't show up on battery widget nor will it connect. Did full reboot. Is there anything else I can try before go see what Apple says? Came from eBay, but looks great, and it was sealed in what I believe was the original cellophane.
I just checked, and the Bluetooth in my Android Galaxy Note 4 CAN see the Bluetooth signal from the pencil, proving that the pencil CAN take a charge, and the pencil IS putting out a Bluetooth signal.
I also know my old iPod CAN connect to the iPad. I am perplexed!!! What am I missing?

The Apple Pencil is only compatible with the iPad Pro line.

Edit. And now the 6th gen.
