I have a 9.7 iPad Pro that I am trying to erase all content and settings. When I attempt to it asks me to login with my Apple ID and when I do it states it can not connect to the Apple ID Server. I have tried this multiple times over multiple days. I tried opening a website in Safari and it wouldn't go to the website because it said my day was wrong in the internal settings. I changed that and it still tells me the day is wrong and Safari will not open the website. I click the link to take the risk anyways and it opened the website.

1. Why is it doing this?
2. Any suggestions for erasing everything and starting over?

Thanks

What if you put your device time setting to automatic? Sounds like a rare hardware defect.

If you can open find iPhone from iCloud using a web browser, you should be able to issue a remote erase command and the device may erase itself.

I just went into find my iPhone from my iPhone and tried to erase it and it asked me for a phone nunmber that will display on it and a message, which I didn't understand, but now it says it will erase it when it connects back to the internet. It is connected to the internet. It is very strange. And I just opened Firefox on it to confirm I was able to go to a website on it and it worked.

Is your device erased then? Or it kinda fixes that weird “incorrect time” problem?

It is not erased. When I check Find my iPhone it shows erase pending, it will be erased when it connects to the internet...I also disconnected it from my WiFi by forgetting the network and tried reconnecting. I rebooted. I tried downloading the latest iOS update but it can't connect to do that either....

Is there some other way to wipe it? I've never connected it to a computer before, would it let me wipe it that way possibly?

If you put your device into DFU mode, then a computer with iTunes may be able to wipe it and restore it to factory settings.
