Apple Card 9 day hold for payments

I paid off my Apple Card (over $8,000) on 5/31 — DIRECTLY from my Apple Savings acct. $$$$ was deducted from my acct within a day. Now 7 DAYS later, and they STILL haven’t posted the payment to my acct. Called customer service & was told there’s a HOLD on the payment until 6/9 w/ no explanation as to why… WHERE HAS THAT $$$$ been the last week? This is absolutely ridiculous. I am unable to use a card with ZERO BALANCE? Who else is having this problem? I might close my card over this. Currently a road trip and can’t even use it. 🤷🏻‍♂️

The hold up is probably due to the funds coming your Apple Savings. In the future, you should consider not using your savings account to pay the card.

So you’re saying the very acct that the card is tied to — which they took my money from — is no good for payment? Where is the money they deducted?

The Apple Savings account is a separate entity from the Apple Card. The savings account has different stipulations etc.
