I purchased a certified pre-owned 15 Pro from Best Buy a few weeks ago (too late to return). I just now set it up. I plan to keep it briefly and then give it to a family member. However, when I set it up, I got the following message:

I had to click Transfer for my own usage. I know this isn't something new, but I was wondering if there's any way at all to get around this as I wasn't planning to keep this device for 90 days, but if the person I'm giving it to can't do the same when they receive it, it will be a hassle. I've had no luck finding a solution, so I don't think there is one (besides waiting). But I figured I'd tap into the wealth of knowledge on MR to make sure!

Thanks in advance.

One way to get around this is by consuming contents outside of Apple ecosystem, which would not involve such transfer limitations. Besides, not all aspects of media consumption within Apple ecosystem involves this transfer thing iirc. I believe streaming doesn’t really need the transfer.

You're correct, streaming isn't an issue. It's primarily things like downloading Apple music to the device itself (which is what triggered it in my case). But regardless, it's a limitation. I understand the security reasons why Apple implements this (though I wish it was a little shorter time period). I was just hoping there was some way to avoid it.
