I have app box pro app where I can check system resources being used.

I noticed my iPad would not even load the app store. My webpages were just blank and would not load I opened up app box pro and it showed 92% RAM being used.

Obviously the easiest solution was for me to clear all my cache, cookies and history in safari, close my 4 web browser windows and also reboot iPad. After rebooting I opened app box pro and system ram only showed 40% being used. So iPad was back to being fast again. Like many, wished apple would have shipped with 512mb of ram.

I hope with iPhone os 4 gives us the option not only to close multiple apps but I hope we are able to close "native apple running apps" like calendar, iTunes mail so I can free up more ram.

Still love my 3G iPad. It's web browsing is very fast. I just hope I don't have to reboot my iPad more than once a day to free system ram.

I've rebooted my iPad about 3 times since launch and I've never really had a problem.

I got one of these today.

Same here. I'll do periodic reboots (reboot via home+off button, not just simply turning on/off the iPad) and my iPad has been fine with memory.

When I first got the iPad, I loaded up many apps (I was downloading/installing like a madman) and I noticed several apps saying I should reboot after installs, but I ignored them. I noticed some of the apps were slow, running out of memory.

Once I started rebooting the iPad after installing a lot of apps, I've been good to go. No problems.

Well personally I think the limited ram is going to be a problem with 4.0.
I mewwn maybe apple has it sorted out but right now I have 12mb left, that horrible, usually it's 35 at it's worst 12 is the worst I've seen it. But it is usually around 70mb

Hmm let's say the multitasking implanted in 4.0 works and I think it will... But how much will save states from apps take up in memory, because if it takes up more than a few mb and all apps automatically go to w save state that would suck
