Oooh. If this get approved by the App Store I'll have to pick this one up. Gmail is my primary email account and it would be great to have push for it, even if it takes 30 seconds.
 
I would have been so interested in this 3 days ago, but I've found nuevasync since then....
 
um... i dont get the point of this
why not just use the free mail app that came with the iphone? it supports gmail
 
Battery life?

How do you guys think push email, such as with this app, would effect battery life compared to fetching every 15mins? Obviously quantity of emails would be a huge factor, but what say you have relatively few emails, say ten per day? Would this be more power efficient than checking every 15mins a considerable amount more often?
 
Google has already enabled push Google Calender and Push Gmail contacts through exchange. Don't be surprised if they do it for Gmail (crosses fingers).
 
Don't like the idea of giving my password. That's the only problem I see with these third party programs. Although the pw is obviously needed.

I'm going to try to forward some of my email to my textfree acct and see how that works out
