I would be greatful if anyone can help me, I'm looking for a link to 9A404 Firmware for a iphone 3gs I realise this wasn't a public release but need it to save me pulling whats left of my hair out

Thanks in anticipation

DFU mode dude.

And shame for not being part of the iOS Dev program and using old old betas...

Google how to put iphone in DFU mode- and restore to iOS 6.

Thanks for the comments, I quite aware of all the tricks to try and sort this, I've done a few, I need the firmware as a last hope before I hit it with a hammer.

If there are any experts on here I have used redsnow to attempt tethered boot in verbrose mode and have taken a pic of the screen. I cannot do a restore always get error 40 or error 20 no matter what.

Also included screens of Ifaith and Itunes restore crashes

I've looked on the internet for you - and you're either trying to downgrade or attempting to hacktivate with an sn0wbreeze. (Or hacktivated with sn0wbreeze in the past on that computer.) OR downgrade with iFaith.
Don't bother with all of that-

Get on another computer (mom's, dads, friends, it doesn't matter) and restore it from DFU mode there.

Do you mean just with itunes but force it into dfu mode or still use a custom ispw ? because I have tried a normal restore to ios 6

Why not rstore to 5.1.1?

If I could restore to any ios and it worked I would, just fails everytime. Dont forget I received this phone this way, I've never been able to get it out of plug into itunes, I've tried i think everything, if I leave it plugged into the pc it reboots after about 10 mins. I need to try tether boot but I cannot if I try and use 9A405 I get the screen above :(

9a404

I cannot read that info since it will not come out of the recovery loop :( I have blobbs for 4.1 I used the manual ecid to get that and I have blobbs from the phone using ifaith but all useless :(

Have you used the TU kick from recovery loop feature? I bet it would work - it tries lots of different things to get it to work.

Tha was one of the first things I tried. I would love to try tether boot but i need 9A404 nothing else works :(

Even if you ever do get the 9A404 build, it won't work. iOS will lock itself and require that you do a DFU mode to restore it.

I need to tetherboot and I cannot without 9A404 I can DFU and read the obvious settings

Maybe its just a brick :(

It isn't a brick. If you tetherbooted that phone, it would boot to a purple or white screen and refuse to do anything else because the beta on it has expired. The only thing you can do is put it into DFU mode and restore to iOS 6.

Try to restore it trough itunes with stock ios 6 on other pc or mac with other cable(just in case) and then fry to downgrade to whatever u have blobs ;) good luck

Ps when u connet the phone in dfu mode itunes should recognize it and restore it with stock ios 6 ;)

He wont listen:eek:

Not nice, I have tried that, I cannot do a ios rerstore from itunes no matter which laptop I use, I've posted the screens above, Itunes error 40 no matter what

The latest redsnow in restore mode gets stuck and returns with NAND error Itunes error 40
