Do you think apple would come out with an even bigger iMac.

The highest they ever went is a 30"

Could we expect future generation iMacs to get a larger screen size

Maybe around 35" and up?

I'm sure as larger and higher resolution screens become cheaper the screen size will increase. When I bought my first 17" screen in 1995 it seemed gargantuan and I could not find a use for all that screen real estate. Back then 21" screens seemed ridiculous.

I could see people wanting much bigger screens when multi-touch becomes the norm on computers. Personally I would want 40"+ on a wall mounted screen for multi-touch. Sort of like in minority report:cool:.

Not in the near future. Apple will be sticking with these 27" panels for awhile. They are even phasing out the 30" Cinema Display and only selling the 27" Cinema Display from now on. Maybe in the far future we will see larger panels, but to 35" or maybe larger, but we would need video cards that supported over 2560x1600 or 2560x1440 resolution. These would be over 3000x2000 pixel resolution monitors...

Maybe in 2015 we will see a upgrade in screen size

I want them to come out with a 45" wall mounted iMac but I wouldn't expect this until 2020 maybe earlier, depending if apple goes to that extreme soon enough
