Don't get me wrong, it's not awful or anything. I came from a Pixel 2 XL and THAT was an atrocious display. I purchased the phone in April. I recently visited an Apple Store for the first time since my purchase, as there is not one nearby, and compared the grey tones in my clock.app with the store display models. I was quite disappointed with mine, as the entire right side of the display is more bright/light grey compared to deeper tones toward the left side.

I don't have much experience with OLEDs. Should I attribute my display issue with just the random lottery of OLED or is it worth trying to get a replacement?

Thanks y'all

I wouldn't go by store models. They are always being messed with by customers.

My X display is gorgeous and uniform-----

Do you think it's worth asking an employee next time I go to an apple store?

Show them what you are talking about and see if other X's look the same. They could reset it for you.

The vast majority of owners are happy with the display.
