A little bit of a testimonial from a new Mac user.
I bought a Macbook White 2Ghz from the Apple Store at the Trafford Centre in Manchester.
So far it's been performing perfectly and no sign of the random shutdown problem. It's lightening fast and the build quality compared to my Sony Vaio which is about to go on Ebay is infinitely better.
There was the "moo" as people put it on some occasions but like many others the firmware update has done a vast amount of good and the macbook now runs significantly cooler and it's virtually silent. It's a lot more silent than my Vaio where the fans would like to spin up on quite regular occasions.
I've also used bootcamp and that worked flawlessly apart from me needing to run disk utility off the boot cd's so I now have a platform off which to run games so all round I'm a happy chappy.
If it stays like this I'll be one happy convert to the cult of Mac.
