Grant Sonnex is a furniture designer/maker located in Gloucestershire in the UK. Grant was an award-winning BBC producer, but decided to move on and train with renowned furniture designer maker David Savage. He then established his own fine furniture workshop making contemporary fine furniture. That piece above — “computer desk for Apple iMac” — is one of my favorite pieces.

Really cool! :apple: It looks about as usable as OS X.

What's wrong with a normal desk? Or even a table?

Im almost definitely buying this as long as its under a grand. Its the most elegantly designed computer desk Ive seen. Truly magical. Sometimes you have to pay for the best.

what is it made out of and how much does it weigh?

"under" $1000 ... magical my ass it better give me a BJ while i work :p

I'll stick with mine thanks .... Ikea, £89, very sturdy, job done!

It's called Jonas and is still current according to the UK website. Comes in two different finishes .... hope you find it!

I have a basic Ikea VIKA CURRY desk, in white. I love Ikea :)

Not really sure about this desk, though. I prefer solid colours to the 'wood', unless it's something like Beech.

We have a traditional desk / hutch for our systems. If wondering, Backup APC 1300VA LCD is under the desk.

Being a "desk", it can hold many supplies (like CD/DVD discs) as well.

I'd buy the same desk again - except with a much better chair. Its hard bench can be a "real" PITA  at times. Other then its wooken surface chair, its desk area is perfect - for us...

.

Here's my iMac desk. Very minimalist and I feel like I have a little Apple store in my apartment when my iMac is sitting on top of it.
