its a great game except for the fact when you get to level 9 and it takes 4 days to finish because the AI take 20+ minutes to think. When you get to one guy its about 3-5 minutes to do nothing. Thats not fun at all.

I think that reign of fire game is pretty good. Only bad part for me at least is the UI.

Yah but does Reign of Fire have Online Multiplayer? :D

Yes but it's not real time multiplayer online (WiFi and 3G) compared to Galcon Multiplayer.

It's more of turn by turn.. you send your troops (position them, arrange, strategize), then check back after a few minutes and you should have a result. The results come in very fast cause there's a notifier saying if there's a player waiting for someone to challenge him or none.

lol in response to your thread title, yes there are decent strategy games on the iPhone and Uniwar isn't the only one.

Reign of swords (not my favorite but decent)
Galcon (tons of fun)
Warfare Incorporated (best mobile RTS imo)
TD genre
Uniwar

So the iPhone offers a very nice selection, getting close to being comparable to the DS.

Hey Lipton,

Yah I checked out Reign of Swords but It looked soooo horrible graphics wise.. Im sure theres still got to be some good strategy goodness though. :)

I already have a few TD games.. Ive just kinda played myself out on them. Dont get me wrong, Ive spent dozens of hours on them each :D

I havent tried Warfare Inc yet, but its $5! Yike

Hence why I didnt say it was an RTS ;)

But your right, multiplayer or otherwise, Uniwar seems to be designed around the game being turn-based.

Some of the 10 min turn matches Ive played Online have been quick enough to still be fun, especially when juggling two 10 min matches back and forth at the same time. Hehe :D

I usually just have 10-12 different game running, and i can cycle through them with ease. This is my favorate game app so far.

I'm hooked! I love online strategy games, and my most used game apps are Galcon, Chess With Friends, and also added to that now is Uniwar. I'm getting my ass handed to me in most of my Uniwar games, but it's still loads of fun.

It's yet another great steal at ¥115 (99 cent). Introductory sales are great!

Uniwar is nice except when you have many units on the map (yours and enemy) then the lag becomes horrible. It almost becomes unplayable

absolutely. i stopped playing uniwar cuz of that... hope they come up with an update to not only speed things up, but also for single play, have the cpu make all their moves without us having to wait through it... there's no point to see what the cpu is doing when you can't counter anything...

Agreed, having to sit through the UI going through its moves is a collosal waste of time and the little forward button gets all lagged as well and is just a nightmare. They need an update to just have the UI complete it's moves with no animation and have it done instantly and pass the turn back to you. On the later maps, i'm just wasting to much time waiting for the UI to complete its turn.
