A different wifi issue than usual

My wifi works great, but it is grey'ed instead of black. I can click on it and it says connected to the proper router, and it works well. This was not an issue until this month. I've been running 10.8 since it came out. Kind of weird, any ideas what could have changed?

Turn Airport off than back on in the Mac to see if it helps.

Are you running some sort of menu bar tweak app there? I wonder if that could be causing the problem.

Happened to me a few times but it doesn't affect connectivity. Eventually it'll go back to black.
