After a restart, ive lost most of the apps i had on the dock, as if a dock reset was made. Many of the apps that appear when installing the OS for the first time came up. What did i do? Is there a way to bring the dock back as it was?

Dock settings are saved in ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.dock.plist Probably the file was corrupted somehow.

I don’t know how TimeMachine works, but if you can get com.apple.dock.plist from before the restart, you can replace the current one and have your Dock settings back.
