Since the iOS 6 jailbreak I have been using Sleep To Lock because it most emulates the function of the device I came over to iPhone from (HTC Touch Pro).

Unfortunately, around iOS 8 the tweak stopped working and it has not been updated in a very long time. I have found nothing to replace it and an activator action to wake the screen after locking is kind of a poor substitute.

This past week however saw a jailbreak for 9.2 and above. That of course saw new updates in a lot of my tweaks, but for purposes of this thread, namely Activator.

A few other updates however, broke Activator for me. It sill functioned, but I was unable to open the app itself. The 1.99 update did not fix this.

However, I did start noticing that once I locked my screen using my Activator action (Home button, click once) it did NOT shut off!

This morning there was another Activator update, which I installed (yay!!!). This fixed things and I can now open the Activator app which makes me very happy because now I can control my actions again.

However, whatever bug got introduced (or fixed?) is still keeping my screen on when I lock my device.

Which is EXACTLY what I want! EXACTLY the reason I always installed Sleep To Lock.

So, whether it's a bug, or a feature that got fixed or a holdover from past jailbreaks, I don't care. It's working and I now have by default the function I would have installed Sleep To Lock for.

Very happy over that. Just going to take some getting used to again.

I'd be interested to know if anyone else out there is experiencing the same thing if they use Activator to lock their device. If not, it means probably a holdover.

Your lock screen is always on?

Your lock screen is always on?
No.

I just don't want it shutting off right away whenever I press the sleep button.

I use 20 Second Lockscreen to keep my screen on when locked for one minute, then it shuts off. So, when I lock using an Activator action the lockscreen now comes up instead of the screen shutting off and my screen is on for a minute then goes off.

I do it this way because I often do something on my phone, lock it, then need to check the time or weather (I have Forecast on my lockscreen). It's a PITA having to turn the screen back on again.

Looks like this is a feature and NOT a bug!

Awesome!!!

When I was reading this I was thinking to myself, what the hell is Eric talking about and why would you want this but now I get it.

Very handy for when the need arises.

Nice Eric man sounds awesome. Do you mind letting me know what kind of forecast you are using for your lock screen? I've been looking for a good one

Calendar is on lockscreen via LockHTML 4 and a calendar iWidget.

On my homescreens too. iWidgets with a modified 'Weather iPhone 5' iwidget.

Also, Meteor for the statusbar.

Exactly! Don't know how many times I've used my phone for something, switched it off and then needed to check the time or temp. It's a little thing, but I like the ability to just wait for the screen to shut off on it's own.
