Alright i have just recently jailbroke my iPhone 3g so i am kind of new to this.... i have wanted to jailbreak since the original iphone but i didnt want to void my warranty.... well recently my iphone's water damage sticker was pink voiding the warranty so i figured it was a good time to jailbreak...... anyway, i was wondering a few things such as:

1. if i backup my iphone while it is jailbroken, does it overwrite the nonjailbroken backup i have... i have made a copy of the last non jailbroken backup but i am still curious.

2. is there a way to back up my iphone in the jailbroken state so that i can have a backup of themes and apps incase i get a new iphone.

3. "if" i do buy a new iphone, and i jailbreak that one as well how would i go about getting my old iphone's jailbroken things back.

4. I understand that jailbroken software can be reversed, but i am curious as to if i do restore my iphone back to nonjailbroken state, can apple trace it and void my warranty?

This is all i can think to ask anybody right now off the top of my head. But if anyone can help me out with these questions thank you very very much. Also, if anyone knows about a "jailbreak guide" or something that can explain these questions and more, that would also be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

thanks guys but the first one is broken and the second one sends me to google

Edit: im dumb... that second one was suppose to send me to google lol... my bad

well i have searched this stuff on google for the past few days a lot and havent found the exact answers i was looking for for the questions i asked

No, you will have multiple backups in chronological order.

You can get AptBackup which will create a list of Jailbroken apps and whatnot, which you can then use to restore all the apps at a later date after a restore or whatever.

The best way to get JB things from one to another would be using the same backup on both phones, plus the sentence above this one.

No. DFU restore will wipe everything.

what is dfu and i am on a windows computer... idk if that helps cuz i thought i saw somewhere that some things cant be done on windows
