Send picture/video messages?

People on these boards were going CRAZY.

So, in all honesty, how often do you send it?

I'm in Canada, so I had MMS on launch. I have sent less than 10 pictures.

On occasion, it's fun. However, I could previously email the pics so the result is the same. It was a matter of wanting what you don't have (particularly since several other devices had it). Just you wait...there will be another "can't do without" feature people will get worked up over. We humans are an eternally unsatisfied lot.

Hardly, maybe once or twice every three months. And it's mostly when I forward some funny x-rated mms that my coworkers send me.

So far, I think I've sent about 15 at most since launch of AT&Ts.

It's really not a feature I couldn't live without. I mean, even before, the www.viewmymessages.com thing normally worked for me, so I could use that. Then to send it, I just e-mailed it to their phone number.

Definitely could do without it, I never pushed for it though.

My thing is and has always been that most if not all of the ppl I send MMS to have smart phones that can receive regular email so it comes down to which icon I want to click on (mail or text).

I actually use it fairly regularly. I said once a week. Sometimes weeks can go by with nothing. Other times I can send multiple pictures in a day. I even received an audio file over the holidays.

So I'm not a huge user, but I'd be annoyed if it was gone.

I actually receive many more than I send, but I have used it on occasions, and its very useful when I need it.

We just got my grandma a tracfone with mms, I sent a mms from my iphone to test it out, it worked. (yeah $19 tracfones have mms now.)

I had to opt for once a day, although I send multiple a day.

You should have better poll options.

Multiple times a day

What is MMS?

Even if I was on a firmware that was capable of sending MMS messages, I wouldn't be able to anyways because I am having data blocked. So I answered "Never".

People shut up pretty quick when they got MMS on their precious iPhones though.

I think I've used it twice, just for the sake of using it.

I have little need for it and if I want to send a picture, I'll use email.

most shut up....some still complain because its not how they want it. Like they say though, pickers cant be choosers.

I have a BB Bold, not an iPhone but the question is about how often this feature is used so it's still relevant. I actually use it quite a bit. For example, just recently, I sent my wife a pic of a shirt I was looking at in the store to see what she thought. I used it when my daughter was in a Christmas performance that my wife couldn't make. I also used it while Christmas shopping to ask opinions about something I was getting for my cousin.

Another time recently my wife was at Walmart and she couldn't find a certain oil I was looking for for her car so I took a pic of the bottle and sent it to her while she was in the auto section.

The above were just examples of practical use of the feature. I don't know how you iPhone guys have dealt with out having this feature. That website that ATT sends you to to view messages is terrible. I remember using it back when I had an older BB that didn't even have a camera.

How many?

I think I send about 10 to 20 pics a month and 20 would be on the very high side.

Not at all, but that's because it costs me 50 cents per MMS. I've got a contract with T-Mobile, MMS excluded but it's a good plan:

per month
- Unlimited (internet) data usage: no fair-use-policy or something like that
- 150 call minutes
- 150 sms, no MMS
- Visual Voicemail
- FREE _UNLIMITED_ usage of T-Mobile's and some other carrier's WiFi hotspots.
Price tag: about $40 / month

Non used call minutes and sms move up to the next month (so if I call 100 minutes, the 'saved' 50 minutes will be added for the next month (so it will be 200 call minutes for that month)).

But I'm going off-topic, so my answer is: no, because of the price at T-Mobile.

I don't like polls. Why do people answer the poll question in the post? Just vote and move on.

Totally wrong. Email is not the same as MMS and it's not the same result. Any cheap phone can recieve MMS, but not email. Most people still don't have email setup on their phones, thus would not be able to check the pics immidiately.
