I've been a regular in the MacBook threads since making the switch six monthes ago, but I've also been into photography for a bit now and would like some critiquing. I'm currently using a Digital Rebel XT (350D).

Nice job of contrast on the photos. The tool photo is nice. Don't much like the sepia street lights but that is just me. The plane crop seems strange to me. Perhaps a tighter shot of the tail cropped the way you have it now. But overall nice work.

I really like the stop sign one. I love how the sign stands out even though it's all out of focus.

Very good work!

I was thinking that if the stop sign were in focus, but the background was blurred, it would be very very cool. :)

The spraypaint and beer photos are good, too. I don't really know why I like the beer photo (I just do), and the spraypaint photo looks great against the darker can in the back (on the left side of the image) with the dull colours. My only issue is with the blue can sitting behind the main spraypaint can (ie: the subject) on the very right size of the image, because I find the blue distracting.

The photo of the tools is good.

The sepia streetlights are OK, but I think they'd look very blurry if viewed at a decent size.

Thanks everyone! I do the majority of the color correcting and editing in Aperture, then any detail work through Photoshop. I have a thing for lots of contrast and saturation, but I've taken a few recently of trains covered in graffiti where I've begun adding contrast but removing some saturation and liking the results. More to follow, as I was in class last night and only uploaded the pics I have on flickr.
