I have a few OSX 10.10 Yosemite questions. And if anyone could answer them I'd be very happy indeed.

1. In Safari is there a way to delete your browsing history without deleting all of your stored website data as well?
I ask this as I do delete my browsing history on a regular basis but I don't delete my website data as often. I like to manually manage these both. But Safari in 10.10 only has a clear history and website data button in the menu. There is no extra window that asks you exactly what you want to delete like in Mavericks Safari. If anyone knows an answer to this I'd be very happy indeed.

2. Is there a way to have a new tab button at the top of the 10.10 safari window?
I know there was one in Mavericks Safari. But now in 10.10 to get a new tab I have to press command+T and for me I liked the east (at times) of the "new tab" button. Maybe there is a safari extension for this. I'll have a look. But if anyone has a solution here I'd be very happy.

3. Does anyone know where the network utility app went in 10.10?
I had it in my dock in Mavericks and now in 10.10 it just shows as a ? in my dock. Is the app no longer in 10.10?

The Network Utility, now v1.8 ,can be found by using your search.

For #1 you can hit option-command-2 to bring up the history, then hit command-a to select all then hit the delete key.

For me, for some reason command-a than selecting delete key does not work. Any thoughts ?

You need to select at least one bookmark manually first to bring focus to that list, then command-a will select all. I should have explained that better. Sorry.

Ok that I didn't know. And it seems an overly complicated way to so such a simple task. The Mavericks way was better as you could choose exactly what you wanted to delete, be it cookies or browsing history or caches or whatever. Now it's browsing history "via the method you found" or everything.

I'm not happy about this but I guess we have to live with it now.

#2 - go to

View>Show Tab Bar
That works and the button is there on the right hand side. But that's not what I meant. My fault for nor explaining it better. I meant a button on the top left of your Safari screen, that's in the same area as the forward/back, home etc buttons. There was a button there for new tab in mavericks Safari. And I don't think it exists in 10.10. Only the new tab button on the right hand side exists. This is a shame, maybe I'm a creature of habit but I liked that new tab button along with all the others on the top left.

Another thing I guess I just have to get used to, unless there is a way to put a new tab button there.
