The town without George Bailey
1. The MacRumors guide to iOS 15 photos says "If it's a photo that was taken when you were present, it will appear in the All ‌Photos‌ view and in the Days, Months, and Years view, as well as in Featured ‌Photos‌ and Memories." How is your presence determined?

2. When adding photos to your Library from Shared with You, likewise with the ones that appear automatically in the All Photos view, are the photos timestamped with the date and time they were taken or with the date and time they were sent from Messages?

3. If I delete a Messages thread, do the photos that I have not purposely saved to the Library disappear from All Photos and the Shared with You section?

Thanks. I have nobody to send me photos to test this at the moment.

Right now even the photos you save will vanish (when the phone is idle) if you delete the messages thread. The only way to save them permanently is to save it, and then go to photo library and then duplicate the photo. It's a clusterfunk. IDK if that is the intended behavior or not, but it's bad.
