Within the next 5 days, I'm going to buy:
21.5" Display - Due to limited desk / over head hutch opening size.
3.20GHz Intel Core i3
4GB 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2x2GB
1TB Serial ATA Drive
ATI Radeon HD 5670 512MB GDDR3 SDRAM
8x double-layer SuperDrive
Apple Keyboard with Numeric Keypad (English) & User's Guide
Magic Mouse + Magic Trackpad
iWork preinstalled
Was told for "general home computing" the i5 CPU isn't really financially worth it. I read the i3 chip will do just fine - for average home usage demands. And, money saved on the i3 (instead of the i5) can be used on external Hard Disk (for Time Machine backups) instead.
With above in mind, here's my questions:
A - Is it better to buy at my local Apple Store or from Online Apple Store? I can do either - since I work at home. And, apple store is "down the road" as well.
B - My wife wants the larger size keyboard (with numberic pad on its right side). Thus, we'll be ordering the larger sized "wired" keyboard instead. Anyone have the larger size Apple keyboard? How do you like it? Or, should I buy a 3rd party larger size "wired" keyboard - that's certified to work on the Apple brand instead?
C - To me, its Magic (wireless) TrackPad looks like a great idea. Especially since its wireless and can be moved around. Is this "touch pad" better then a mouse? Would one use it more then a mouse?
Thanks for your thoughts / experience....
