I'm considering purchasing the new base model Mac Mini but had a few questions:
I'm a computer science major in my second year. I have a 2010 Macbook Pro that I've put an SSD in as well as upgraded the RAM. I'm considering the new Mac Mini as my desktop for at home. Ill be doing a good amount of java and html coding on it as well as the usual college papers and other work. My Macbook Pro has worked well for this. Do you think that the base Mac Mini will work out for this application?
I'm familiar with cloning but wanted to know, can I use migration assistant to get all of my apps and other data from my Macbook Pro? I have an external drive with the laptop's image on it. Can I just use that and migration assistant will take over from there? If so, When complete my Mac Mini would have all of my data and apps just like the Macbook Pro? Am I missing something or is it really that easy?

Thanks!
