Before I buy it, can someone who has GB answer these questions. I can't find answers anywhere on Apple's GB pages.

1) Allows stereo recording of single instrument (i.e., are the individual tracks mono or stereo)?

2) Does it import audio files? mp3? AIFF?

3) Can you cut and paste live instruments, edit them with standard cut and paste to trim parts of a track, snip out parts, duplicate parts? Move parts around after they have been recorded, etc?

4) Can you do live mixing when you're mixing down a song, that is, play with panning and volume on individual tracks while you're mixing down?

Thanks to anyone who has a moment to answer these questions. I've been seeking answers for these for a while and nothing so far.

1) you can choose Stereo or Mono recording

2) not that I can see

3) yes

4) dont know what you're asking sorry =)

The answer to number two is a definite yes. You can just drag them in from the finder.

I believe the answer to four is no, but I"m not sure on that yet.

Agreed. You can automate the volume, but not the pan.

You could live mix if you have another program/tape machine capturing the audio. But GB will not let you do that (nor will any other software mixing program that I know of).
