Hello all. As you can see in my sig, I own a 14" iBook and a 17" Intel iMac, both of which I love. I do have some rants after a while of owning these two and I'd like to share, just in case there is something I can do to fix these little problems.

1) iMac Sleep - Used to, I could click "Sleep" and the iMac would automatically go to sleep. But now, it takes about 20 seconds for it to shut off. What's up with that?

2) Video playback - I dunno if it's the websites (MySpace and Gamespot) but it seems like it kills my iMac or iBook just to play a streaming video.

3) Certain websites - MySpace, Gamespot, IGN and occasionally Apple.com just hates my iMac. It takes forever to load, but other websites are blazing fast. WTF?

I guess that's all I got for right now. Please feel free to leave comments or if there are any fixes for these things, please let me know.

Thanks!!!

I have a stock 1.83 GHz MacBook Pro and it does the same thing.

Have you tried alternate browsers? I used to use Safari but I've found Firefox is better at loading webpages like that.

it could be that THEIR servers are slow, your not the only one on myspace,

why myspace anyways? i'm pretty sure it's the root of all evil.

My Intel iMac 20" stock does everything fine. It goes to sleep in maybe 2 seconds- 20 sounds literally outrageous. Myspace videos-well now they changed their video to play in something different so I haven't tried yet. Otherwise, webpages load slow for me because I am using my neighbor's wireless at the moment(she told me I could). But, if Safari either is too slow for something or doesn't load it correctly, I have Firefox ready.
